Key responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to control frameworks and governance systems for internal organization.
  • Conduct detailed audits and reviews, identifying internal control deficiencies and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory and statutory changes, as well as accounting standards.
  • Review compliance within company’s financial control framework and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders across organizations, including business units, risk divisions, compliance, legal, and support teams.
  • You’ll effectively manage and supervise your team in conducting individual audits by defining audit objectives, preparing audit plans, prioritizing work based on risk and ensuring adherence to the audit plan.
  • You’ll ensure your team applies the correct audit methodologies, practices, and standards to deliver high quality audit documentation and report and stay up to date on regulatory and statutory changes, as well as accounting standards.

Role requirements

  • Tertiary Qualification: Hold a CA or MBA qualification.
  • Experience: Demonstrate 6-15 years of post-qualification experience in audit or quality assurance or control assurance in operational risk, preferably within an accounting or financial services environment.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Exhibit an interest in problem solving, analyzing complex processes, and developing assurance reports.
