Our client is a Tier – 1 International Bank who are looking for an experienced and accomplished Head of Enterprise Technology for one of their key divisions located in India. In this leadership role, you will collaborate closely with global divisional Technology leadership to foster a high-performing team that delivers essential business outcomes and project results. Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to join both the India Technology and divisional leadership teams.

You will have the chance to drive an agile environment, taking full ownership of technology deliveries while continuously identifying and implementing improvements to platform and development processes. You will be at the forefront of transforming traditional approaches by developing innovative applications that address real-world challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a diverse and talented team of around 200 professionals.

  • Cultivate an engaged team environment through leading by example and promoting collaboration, empathy, and inclusivity across all organizational levels.
  • Drive continuous upskilling of the team to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Promote and drive continuous improvement in the organization’s technology capabilities.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver business outcomes and successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align technology initiatives with business needs.
  • Manage relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices to keep the organization ahead in technological advancements.

Role requirements

  • Strong engineering background with 20+ years of experience.
  • 5+ years of recent experience in building and leading diverse engineering/technology teams.
  • A strong understanding of Finance, Risk, or Trading systems.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and collaborating across organizational and geographical boundaries.
  • Empathetic people leadership style with excellent communication skills to create a shared vision and motivate team members.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices will be an added advantage.
