VP – Financial Reporting – Global Asset Management

Our client is a global Asset Management firm, focused on alternative assets including Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate.

They are looking for a VP level candidate to join their Singapore finance team, focusing on financial reporting, regulatory reporting and tax reporting for a number of legal entities across APAC.

Key responsibilities

Manage the financial close process, ensuring compliance to US GAAP and local GAAP requirements.
Ensure a robust controls environment including adherence to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
Work with relevant stakeholders across legal and compliance teams to ensure compliance with various internal and external policies and regulations.
Ensure timely completion of year-end audit.
Manage the relevant entities corporate tax, GST and transfer pricing reporting.
Work closely with external auditors and tax accountant where necessary

Role requirements

At least 10 years experience ideally within private equity or fund management industry, but candidates from investment banks can also be considered.
CPA qualified or equivalent
Proficient in Mandarin (to business level i.e. reading / written / spoken) as will need to liaise with business stakeholders whose primary communication is in written and spoken Mandarin.
