Manager – Capital Reporting

Our client, a prominent multinational bank providing an array of services, is currently seeking a seasoned Manager with a minimum of 7 years of Capital Regulatory Reporting experience. This role is integral to their Capital Centre of Excellence (CoE) and the candidate will be responsible for enhancing analytical capabilities across teams, ensuring operational efficiency in reporting, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive compliance and excellence in Capital metrics reporting. Our client is looking for someone who can contribute to the delivery of standard Reports, assurances on the quality of the reports in-line with BCBS239 compliance, Basel and Regulatory Framework, Metrics & Service Delivery across geographies.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct training sessions and share best practices to enhance analytical capabilities within the Capital CoE.
  • Monitor and ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and completeness of reports, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Establish strong control and governance over the reporting process, ensuring data quality and adherence to regulatory reporting standards.
  • Drive continuous process improvement through standardization, simplification, and automation.
  • Collaborate with various teams to efficiently transition changes into business-as-usual (BAU) processes aligned with regulatory and technology objectives.
  • Articulate Capital metrics to senior stakeholders and provide consultation/support for business queries related to Capital metrics and regulatory reports.
  • Monitor change governance across transformation initiatives and represent the function at governance forums.

Role requirements

  • MBA (Finance) or Masters in Finance/Accountancy/Economics or related subjects; Undergraduate degree in Science/Engineering/Commerce.
  • Chartered Accountant: Risk Management or related Professional Certification is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Capital Regulatory Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Capital regulations, metrics, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in collaboration and problem-solving for process enhancements.
  • Understanding of Moody’s reporting platforms and familiarity with SAS and/or Python is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of Basel framework (Basel II, III, and IV), Capital metrics computation, and related methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Banking Products and their correlation with Risk Weighted Assets/Regulatory Reporting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as BCBS 239 and PRA requirements.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and extraction.
  • Technical skills including Advanced Excel (including macros) and Python/R.
  • Experience with Balance Sheet Management systems like Moody’s, Oracle, QRM.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across geographies.
  • Leadership and people management capabilities.
