Our client is a Chinese Bank who have a large footprint within Singapore and the wider ASEAN region, who are looking for a candidate to join their Loan operations Team.

They are looking for a high-performing senior operations associate (remittance) to join the operations team.

Key responsibilities

  • Check and approve inward and outward remittances in accordance to SWIFT standards and in compliance to Bank’s screening guidelines.
  • Check and approve deposits placements, rollovers, and settlements.
  • Liaise with business units (i.e., treasury front office, relationship managers etc.)
  • Verify reports and perform reconciliations, controls, monitoring.
  • Report on funding positions to Treasury front office.
  • Handle bank statements and attend to customers’ requests for account movements.
  • Participate in drills, projects, initiatives, system enhancements and UATs.
  • Handle any other tasks/duties assigned by supervisor/Head of Operations.

Role requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in remittance operations and deposits operations.
  • Knowledge of related regulations, Anti-Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing, Customer Data Protection, and operational risks.
  • Strong understanding of SWIFT messages and experience SWIFT Alliance.
  • Able to multi-task across functions and an excellent team player.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin as the role requires written and verbal communication in Traditional Chinese with Mandarin-speaking colleagues.
