Our client is a Chinese Bank who have a large footprint within Singapore and the wider ASEAN region, who are looking for a candidate to join their Loan operations Team.

They are looking for a high-performing senior operations associate (remittance) to join the operations team.

Key responsibilities

Check and approve inward and outward remittances in accordance to SWIFT standards and in compliance to Bank’s screening guidelines.
Check and approve deposits placements, rollovers, and settlements.
Liaise with business units (i.e., treasury front office, relationship managers etc.)
Verify reports and perform reconciliations, controls, monitoring.
Report on funding positions to Treasury front office.
Handle bank statements and attend to customers’ requests for account movements.
Participate in drills, projects, initiatives, system enhancements and UATs.
Handle any other tasks/duties assigned by supervisor/Head of Operations.

Role requirements

At least 5 years’ experience in remittance operations and deposits operations.
Knowledge of related regulations, Anti-Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing, Customer Data Protection, and operational risks.
Strong understanding of SWIFT messages and experience SWIFT Alliance.
Able to multi-task across functions and an excellent team player.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin as the role requires written and verbal communication in Traditional Chinese with Mandarin-speaking colleagues.
