Key responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact for Stress Testing and Risk Appetite matters within the AME region and establish pragmatic processes.
  • Enhance stress testing methodologies by staying current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Review and challenge stress testing results and scenarios.
  • Partner with countries across AME to identify and provide solutions to meet regulatory commitments on various ERM initiatives. Oversee the review and monitoring of risk appetite, provide analytical support and insights to the Risk teams.
  • Support training initiatives for both the 1st and 2nd lines to encourage data-driven decision-making in risk management.
  • Contribute to strategic Group projects and interact with various stakeholders. Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, legal, compliance) to integrate risk management practices into business operations.

Role requirements

  • Have 12-14 years of experience in handling Risk appetite, Data management and Stress testing.
  • Possess knowledge of regulatory frameworks and banking regulations, particularly the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of advanced mathematical concepts and statistical techniques, with proficiency in programming languages like SQL, SAS, R, Python, or other statistical tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in AME and PRA related to Credit, Stress testing, and Model Risk.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with data analysis and reporting capabilities.
