Corporate Business Development Manager

Our client is a pioneering, fast-growing global newswire headquartered in Hong Kong with offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, China, Thailand, and Taiwan. As part of their growth and expansion plan, they are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Corporate Business Development Manager to join the team in Malaysia.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business development initiatives with Corporate Communications departments, focusing on offering a comprehensive press release distribution service. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in corporate communications, a robust network within key organizations and industries, and a passion for achieving sales targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Business Development: Collaborate with Corporate Communications departments to introduce and promote our press release distribution service. Identify opportunities for business growth and strategic partnerships within corporate communication channels.
  • Industry Experience: Possess a deep understanding and established network within corporate communications and key industries that require media coverage at local, regional, and global levels.
  • Sales and Target Achievement: Demonstrate a sales-driven mentality with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Client Management: Exhibit excellent client management skills with a solutions-oriented approach. Proactively address client needs, provide effective solutions, and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Showcase outstanding written, spoken, and presentation skills. Craft compelling proposals and effectively communicate the value proposition of our press release distribution service.
  • Team Player: Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams and be willing to roll up sleeves to ensure the successful implementation of business development strategies.
  • Relevant Experience: Leverage previous experience in corporate sales, public relations, media sales, or journalism to contribute valuable insights and expertise to the role.
  • Proactive and Self-Motivated: Demonstrate a proactive and independent work ethic. Be a self-starter with the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative in a dynamic business environment.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, corporate sales, public relations, media sales, or journalism.
  • Established network within corporate communications and key industries.
