Head of Finance

Our client is a well-regarded and international real estate multinational with a global presence worldwide. They are now seeking to hire a senior finance leader to join them as Head of Finance to lead their regional finance team.  This role will be reporting to the Regional CFO to lead and inspire a sizeable team.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financial and management reporting of the Asia region.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of operational accounting activities, overseeing the monthly closing process of the region and the preparation of other necessary accounting reports to ensure timely, accurate, efficient, and informed reporting in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards and in compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate approved general accounting practices for the designated area to ensure accounting, financial and operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes.
  • Review financial and operating statements for Asia, providing technical direction in the analysis of information and overseeing the preparation of reports for management information and use.
  • Manage and coordinate the maintenance of company’s financial records and information, overseeing the preparation of consolidated operating and financial statements.

Role requirements

  • Ideally you are a degree-qualified accountant with at least 12-15 years of relevant experience in a similar role and capacity
  • Experience in developing business plans and implementing financial mechanisms, and/or sound commercial acumen and in-depth understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills will also be crucial success factors
