Engineering Manager – Cloud

Our client is a leading Fintech MNC organization in the Insurance space looking for an experienced Engineering Manager Cloud with 10+ years of experience in Java Backend + Cloud.

Key responsibilities

  • You have a strong technical background with a career journey which encompasses Software Development or Testing and eventually transitioning into a Tech Project manager role.
  • You are an authority in Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe and have experience in redefining a team from a waterfall approach to an Agile product development way of working.
  • Capability to understand and speak software engineers’ language and understand the wider context of their work.
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to influence behavior among your peers and the development teams.
  • Personal demeanour that is in sync with the following values: proactivity, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • PMP certification, SAFe certification and/or Scrum Master Certification is strongly preferred.
  • Good to have Azure Cloud is a good to have skill. Microsoft Certified: Azure – Fundamentals Exam AZ-900 and Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer – Associate Exam AZ-204.

Role requirements

  • Overall, 10-13 years of experience.
  • 3+ years in the management of complex technical projects.
  • 8+ years of development experience as part of an Agile team.
  • Primary skills: Java, Spring Boot, SCRUM, Safe Agile, Automation testing, SaaS Multi-Tenant, Hibernate, Junit, REST API’s Swagger, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Good to have: Cloud vendor experience, including Azure, AWS, and GCP (Preferably Azure).
