Key responsibilities

Strategic Partnership:

  • Collaborate with business leaders as a strategic HR advisor, ensuring alignment with the goals of the Global bank.
  • Understand business needs and guide managers in resolving HR issues effectively.

Employee Engagement and Development:

  • Communicate and reinforce the organization’s values to employees, emphasizing the unique value proposition of the Global bank.
  • Assist managers in creating career development opportunities based on employee aspirations.
  • Drive HR processes, including compensation, performance appraisal, talent management, and advancement, tailored to the Global bank’s requirements.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

  • Partner with the recruitment team in the hiring process for the Global bank’s business units.
  • Provide HR intelligence about competitors to aid in talent retention initiatives specific to the banking industry.

Employee Relations:

  • Handle employee relations cases such as warnings, compliance breaches, harassment, and grievances, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Liaise with legal, compliance, and Head of Employee Relations for case closures, adhering to the Global bank’s policies.

Training and Development:

  • Drive training and development initiatives by identifying banking industry-specific training needs.
  • Leverage the expertise of the Learning & Development team for various initiatives and team-building exercises tailored to the financial sector.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Understand and interpret data to provide key analytics for decision-making, focusing on the specific requirements of the Global bank.
  • Utilize data analytics and technology for HR functions, ensuring alignment with the bank’s technological standards.

Role requirements

  • Full-time MBA/PG in HR preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in HR, preferably in Global organizations, with a specific emphasis on the banking sector.
  • Strong exposure to HR practices and interaction with senior leadership in the banking industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in business presentations and MS Office, especially Excel, aligning with the technology standards of the Global bank.
