Our Client is looking for an AVP/VP Treasury Counterparty Credit Risk person in their Singapore office.  This is a group function, fantastic opportunity to work with a highly experienced Risk Management banking leader.

Key responsibilities

  • Project lead to implement Counterparty Credit Risk (“CCR”) initiatives for Treasury business and Global Markets. These includes SA-CCR, Regulatory CVA, Counterparty Stress Test and Wrong Way Risk.
  • To conceptualise the solutions with the project team and work with stakeholders (internal and external) to implement the CCR initiatives within the project timelines given. These stakeholders includes business, technology, back office, collateral management, risk management and regulatory reporting, external system vendors.
  • To transition the project from existing practices into the new practices, working with regulators and businesses, conducting impact studies and implementations of new policies/ procedures.
  • To lead a team and manage pre-settlement risk (counterparty credit risk) for treasury counterparties after the project has been implemented on an on-going basis.

Role requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Mathematics/ Actuarial Studies from a recognised University
  • Minimum 7 years of banking and finance industry experiences in the relevant fields of counterparty credit risk.
  • Knowledge of derivative products & experience in leading and implementing projects is required
  • Good understanding of the financial markets and products
  • Well verse in market risk and counterparty credit risk knowledge
  • Able to perform work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines, independently and a good team player.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to interact with people from all levels.
  • Good computing knowledge (VBA, C++. Python or R) is preferred.
  • Proficient in C++, MATLAB, VBA, R, Python etc
  • Good communication skills, meticulous, analytical and organized
