As the Chief of Staff / Head of Business Excellence, you’ll be instrumental in guiding strategic initiatives and monitoring key performance metrics, serving as a primary advisor to the CEO. You’ll report directly to the CEO, providing crucial support in steering the company towards its vision of becoming a science and technology-driven organization with unique capabilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop and execute strategic initiatives, offering valuable insights and recommendations for key decisions.
  • Act as a primary liaison between the CEO, senior leaders, and stakeholders, organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and ensuring follow-up on action items.
  • Oversee critical projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO, ensuring timely achievement of objectives by developing and monitoring project plans.
  • Drive alignment across departments to facilitate the execution of initiatives, identifying areas for improvement, streamlining processes, and promoting collaboration.
  • Analyze information from diverse sources to provide relevant insights to the CEO, prepare reports and presentations on key issues, trends, and organizational performance.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of opportunities and challenges to aid the CEO’s decision-making through research and data analysis.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress against strategic goals, highlighting concerns, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support the CEO through organizational change, ensuring robust communication and fostering a positive culture during transitional periods.
  • Assist the CEO in preparing for board meetings, engaging with board members, and facilitating communication with shareholders and investor relations.
  • Undertake special projects and assignments directed by the CEO, conduct research, prepare reports, and representing the CEO as necessary.
  • Aid the CEO in prioritizing tasks, managing time effectively, and providing recommendations by anticipating needs and identifying potential conflicts.

Role requirements

  • Engineering and MBA, preferably from IIT and an IIM.
  • 3 years of experience in Pharma Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, Project Management, or Business Operations.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders, possessing excellent communication, research, analytical, and digital skills.
  • Self-driven with strong initiative, strategic thinking, financial acumen, process orientation, and the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
