Chief Transformation Officer

Our client is the industry leader and a multinational insurance company. They offer a range of life and non-life insurance products across many countries in Europe and Asia.

They are looking for an accomplished individual who can lead them as Chief Transformation Officer. This role would suit an experienced COO/CIO with strong operations and technology background into insurance in Asia and internationally.

This leadership role is going to be an extension of regional head-office based in Hong Kong and would be on secondment to Mumbai. The company offers general management career progression and global mobility after the secondment. The client is open to international candidates who are willing to relocate to India for a medium-term secondment and those who are fine with travelling within India.

Key responsibilities

  • Heading the transformation office which governs bancassurance, agency, and IT & Digital Transformation programs, aiming for comprehensive organizational enhancement.
  • Implementation of an Enterprise Architecture Model, core system replacement, digital asset development, team strengthening, and enhancing governance/security.
  • Process redesign, automation, and digitization for efficiency, including new business and claims processing, integration with TPAs, spark underwriting development, and team reinforcement.
  • Modernization of data architecture platform, CRM capabilities.

Role requirements

  • At least 20 years’ experience in general/life insurance with international insurance experience, gained in Asia (and internationally) with some exposure to the Indian market.
  • An experience of working closely with regional/group head office in the form of matrixed reporting.
  • A strong operations and technology background as a Chief Operations Officer/ Chief Information Officer, with proven experience of leading established IT functions.
  • Large transformation & change management project/program experience.
  • Strong people management experience in large team set-ups.
