Director – HR

Our client is the fastest growing provider of remote video monitoring with a mission to disrupt the traditional security industry with innovation through A.I and automated remote surveillance services. The Role:

The Director of HR India will be responsible for leading and directing the global alignment and overall human resources strategy for the company’s PAN India operations. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and programs that align with the company’s mission, vision, and values, while driving business success through the effective management of human resources.

This role will be part of the Company’s India leadership team and responsible for supporting nearly 2/3 the company’s global workforce. Reporting into this role will be the Company’s HRBP, L&D, Talent Acquisition and Payroll/Benefits teams.

This role reports directly to the Global Chief Financial Officer.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the Global development and local implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs across India that align with the company’s overall mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team and management stakeholders across the Company’s India operations, ensuring that all HR operations are efficient, effective, and in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately to support the company’s HR objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on HR issues.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and other key stakeholders to identify and address HR-related issues, including talent management, employee engagement, organizational development, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that HR policies and procedures are communicated effectively to employees and that compliance is monitored regularly.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external vendors and service providers, such as recruitment agencies, payroll providers, and benefits providers.
  • Analyze HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Oversee the administration of HR systems and databases.
  • Ensure that HR practices and programs are in compliance with all local laws and regulations.
  • Support the Global CFO and US HR Leader in developing and executing the company’s overall HR strategy and initiatives.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in human resources management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of local laws and regulations related to employment, Labour relations, and HR practices in India for the companies two offices in Vizag and Hyderabad.
  • Experience implementing new policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that drive business success.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with all levels of employees and stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Highly Detail-oriented, metric driven with strong focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English and local Indian languages.
