Key responsibilities

Contribute to the development of a climate scenarios knowledge base through research on the industry’s best practices, regulatory developments, and academic insights.
Design, build and evaluate existing controls for the scenario analysis pertaining to climate risk.
Looking after the risk management strategies of the organization as per various climate scenarios such as IPCC, IEA, etc.
Support the development of a climate database, including the sourcing and quality checking of internal and external data.
Support teams across geographies in executing local climate risk related scenario analysis and stress testing.

Role requirements

6 – 9 years of relevant experience in Credit Risk and Climate Risk Management domain, along with a wider knowledge about global climate risk policies and prevalent industry trends in the domain.
Strong grasp of the governance, risk management and regulatory aspects in the banking industry pertaining to Climate Risk, along with a knowledge of Commercial, Retail, Corporate and Institutional portfolios, and products.
Knowledge about the scope, capabilities, and limitations of all relevant climate risk models and ESG data providers.
Experience in conducting stress testing and statistical model building (as per IRB, IFRS9 provisioning).
Proficiency in Python, R and SAS.
Strong skills in problem solving, communication, stakeholder management and project management.
