Key responsibilities

  • Plan and execute product development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop creative and safe toy concepts.
  • Support the maintenance and updating of product catalogues and databases.
  • Help establish product specifications and coordinate testing requirements.
  • Identify potential vendors and assist in the sourcing process.
  • Manage supplier relationships, project timelines, and cost analysis.
  • Coordinate sample submissions to laboratories and follow up on testing results.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet client requirements and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Assist in conducting market research to identify trends and consumer preferences.
  • Participate in business travel as required for supplier visits and trade shows.
  • Handle additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product development, preferably in the toys or children’s items sector.
  • Strong understanding of toy safety standards and compliance.
  • Familiarity with the product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes.
  • Attention to detail, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with international vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
