Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our Loan Portfolio Monitoring team as an Assistant Vice President (AVP). This role will focus on the end-to-end monitoring of a diversified portfolio of U.S. commercial real estate loans, ensuring early identification of risk, covenant compliance, and overall portfolio health.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor a portfolio of U.S. Commercial Real Estate loans, including multi-family, office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use assets.
  • Perform financial covenant tracking, borrower performance reviews, and early warning signal identification.
  • Prepare detailed portfolio review reports with risk commentary for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with underwriting, credit risk, and relationship management teams in the U.S. to drive proactive portfolio actions.
  • Ensure data integrity, risk rating validation, and adherence to internal credit policies.
  • Support internal audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reviews as needed.
  • Contribute to process enhancements, automation initiatives, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Role requirements

 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial credit risk, loan underwriting, or portfolio monitoring.
  • Prior experience with U.S. commercial real estate lending is strongly preferred.
  • Sound understanding of financial statements, credit risk parameters, and loan structures.
  • Hands-on experience in covenant monitoring, risk rating tools (e.g., Moody’s Risk Analyst), and credit systems.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to interact with global stakeholders.
  • MBA (Finance), CA, CFA or equivalent preferred.
