Our client, a leading global financial services organisation, is seeking a Technology COO to partner with the India CIO and drive operational excellence, transformation, and strategic growth of its technology function in India.

 

This is a critical leadership role responsible for enabling the execution of the technology strategy, enhancing productivity, and positioning India as a key hub within the global organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive operational excellence across the technology function, including productivity, cost optimization, and resource utilization.
  • Define and implement KPIs, metrics, and governance frameworks to track and improve performance.
  • Partner with the CIO to execute the India technology strategy and transformation roadmap.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with vendors, fintechs, and external innovation ecosystems.
  • Lead multi-site strategy including assessment, build, and scaling of new GCC locations.
  • Develop and scale leadership capability, building a future-ready technology organisation.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to align India’s operating model with enterprise priorities.

Role requirements

  • Extensive experience in a COO / Business Management / Transformation leadership role within technology.
  • Strong track record delivering large-scale transformation and operating model change.
  • Experience working in global, matrixed financial services organisations.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor ecosystems and strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams at scale.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at executive level.
