Our client is a is a global SaaS provider of investment research publishing and distribution technology used by financial institutions. The company serves investment banks, asset managers and financial services firms worldwide. Technology team is building an enterprise-scale AWS platform supporting global customers across eight AWS regions. The environment includes multi-account AWS Control Tower architecture with Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud migration from on-premises infrastructure and modern DevOps practices.

 

Location: Hyderabad / Remote

Key responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GoCD and GitLab.
  • Manage Terraform and Terragrunt modules to provision and maintain infrastructure.
  • Automate configuration management and environment setup using Ansible.
  • Administer and optimize Linux-based systems across hybrid cloud environments.
  • Support database cluster configurations (e.g., MySQL, Cassandra) and troubleshoot issues.
  • Deploy and maintain Docker and Kubernetes environments across multiple tiers.
  • Contribute to infrastructure observability using AWS CloudWatch and log pipelines.
  • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure with Terraform and Terragrunt across a multi-account AWS Organizations estate (Control Tower, dozens of accounts, multiple OUs and environment tiers).
  • Develop and extend Ansible roles and playbooks that serve as the single source of truth for host configuration.
  • Design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions (GitHub Enterprise), including OIDC-based AWS deployment, reusable workflows, and pipeline migration off legacy CI systems (GoCD, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI).
  • Execute workload migrations from on-prem to AWS: lift-and-shift and re-platforming of Java/Spring Boot services, load balancers, message brokers, databases, and file services onto EC2, EKS, ALB/NLB, FSx, and AWS Transfer Family.
  • Build AWS-native observability: CloudWatch dashboards and alarms, X-Ray / Application Signals, centralized logging, and Slack-integrated alerting with SLOs and actionable paging, not noise.

Role requirements

Strong technical skills in :

  • DevOps experience with AWS and Linux-based systems.
  • Strong Terraform in a multi-account / multi-environment setup (Terragrunt experience highly regarded).
  • Strong Ansible (or equivalent config management) at fleet scale – inventories, dynamic inventory, roles, idempotency.
  • CI/CD pipeline design and ownership – GitHub Actions preferred; migration from other CI systems is a plus.
  • Solid Linux systems engineering: networking, systemd, packaging, troubleshooting under pressure.
  • Containers and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes/EKS in production.
  • AWS networking fundamentals: VPC design, routing, security groups, DNS (Route 53), load balancing, VPN/hybrid connectivity.
  • Scripting proficiency (Python and/or Bash) for automation and tooling.
  • Operational maturity: change management in fragile environments, incident response, blameless postmortems.
