Key responsibilities

  • Risk Identification on Trading Strategy:
    • Monitor and manage risks associated with electronic and algorithmic trading platforms, including market, operational, and technology risks.
    • Approve any changes on the Trading Strategies
  • Risk Framework Development:
    • Develop, implement, and enhance risk management practices for electronic trading, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
    • Design and maintain pre-trade and post-trade risk controls to ensure trading activities are within approved risk limits.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with trading, technology, governance, and operations teams to improve risk management processes and address trading-related risks effectively.
    • Provide subject matter expertise on electronic trading risk to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Incident Management:
    • Assist in root-cause analysis and remediation of electronic trading-related incidents.
    • Prepare incident reports and recommend process improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Technology and Innovation:
    • Evaluate and recommend tools, systems, and technologies to enhance risk monitoring and control frameworks.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to develop and test enhancements to trading systems and risk controls.

Role requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the risk management function from another similar organization
  • Familiarity with financial market products
  • Sound knowledge of electronic trading regulations in Asia
