Key responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the end-to-end accounting and review management accounts for India-based trading entities and multiple legal structures.
  • Taxation & Compliance: Act as the subject matter expert for Indian tax filings, including GST, TDS, and Corporate Tax, ensuring 100% compliance with local regulatory frameworks.
  • Audit & Controls: Support annual financial statements, coordinate with external auditors (Big 4), and continuously improve internal controls and operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal Operations, Risk, Compliance, and global Finance teams to resolve complex trading and cash flow issues.
  • Scope Expansion: Maintain accurate records across multiple legal entities with the potential to take on additional non-India global entities over time.

Role requirements

  • 4–7 years of post-qualification experience, with a proven track record working directly inside a Hedge Fund, Proprietary Trading Firm, or Asset Manager.
  • Hands-on experience managing Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Corporate Tax) and FPI (Foreign Portfolio Investor) compliance is a strict requirement.
  • Fully Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or Indian CA equivalent). A solid foundation with Big 4 Audit experience is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university with a good academic record.
  • Advanced Excel skills are mandatory; exposure to automated financial systems and a data-driven mindset aligned with a Quant environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and thrives in a lean, fast-paced, and highly collaborative global team.
  • Open to relocation depending on location
