Financial Analyst, Southeast Asia

My client’s business is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Southeast Asia Finance Shared Service Team. Reporting to the Regional Finance Controller, this role supports subsidiaries by analyzing business and financial data, creating financial models, and developing financial plans and reports. The ideal candidate will also be actively involved in the Annual Budget and Forecast, as well as the implementation of regional projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Process daily and weekly sales updates for stakeholders.
  • Support the sales team with margin analysis for project sales.
  • Handle BPC sales reporting, including D+2 reporting, sales volume-mix effect, and sales price effect calculations.
  • Calculate monthly PdB PdC adjustments for Group finished product purchases.
  • Analyze production costs, distinguishing between volume mix impact, material price, and productivity.
  • Identify non-moving and slow-moving inventories and calculate provisions per Group guidelines.
  • Assist in monthly financial close processes, analyzing trends and variances in revenue and costs.
  • Prepare monthly sales and gross margin analysis reports.
  • Assist in Management Business Reporting (MBR) and COPR reporting.
  • Work closely with the Shared Services accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct financial statement analysis.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports with insights and trends for stakeholders.
  • Conduct detailed analyses, including margin and price effect studies on new projects and pricing models.
  • Establish quarterly standard PRI by collecting operational data from local teams.
  • Create cash flow statements and perform ad-hoc cash flow analysis/trending.
  • Collaborate with internal finance and multi-functional teams to deliver business value.
  • Handle any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
  • Work with the Country Financial Controller on planning, forecasting, and budgeting exercises.
  • Prepare budget CapEx files and support budget transfer ratio exercises.
  • Compile marketing reports on sales and profitability.
  • Compute PdB evolution (Budget vs. Standard) as required by Group.
  • Input BPC packages for forecasts and budgets.

  • Minimum Degree in Finance & Accounting with 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel Macro, SQL, and VBA.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong internal control and business acumen.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent team management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
