Global Quality Director (EMS – Front End Semiconductor)

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Quality Director to lead and elevate the global quality function for the front-end semiconductor capital equipment business. This critical leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive quality strategy across incoming and supplier quality, quality management systems (QMS), customer quality, and stock control, ensuring world-class standards that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in semiconductor capital equipment, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement in complex, high-tech, global manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global Quality Management Strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Establish and maintain quality policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with quality and safety standards while maintaining necessary certifications.
  • Oversee supplier quality management, including audits and collaboration with procurement teams to ensure high-quality materials.
  • Implement and manage product quality assurance processes, ensuring all products meet required specifications and performance expectations.
  • Define, track, and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management with actionable insights.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging methodologies like Six Sigma, SPC, and FMEA while addressing customer feedback and concerns.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Extensive background in quality management within electronics manufacturing services, particularly in high-tech capital equipment assembly.
  • Strong expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes, industry standards, and quality methodologies.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma, ASQ, or equivalent quality management certifications are a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and make data-driven decisions.
