Global Quality Director (EMS – Front End Semiconductor)

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Quality Director to lead and elevate the global quality function for the front-end semiconductor capital equipment business. This critical leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive quality strategy across incoming and supplier quality, quality management systems (QMS), customer quality, and stock control, ensuring world-class standards that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in semiconductor capital equipment, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement in complex, high-tech, global manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement a global Quality Management Strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
Establish and maintain quality policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with industry regulations.
Conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with quality and safety standards while maintaining necessary certifications.
Oversee supplier quality management, including audits and collaboration with procurement teams to ensure high-quality materials.
Implement and manage product quality assurance processes, ensuring all products meet required specifications and performance expectations.
Define, track, and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management with actionable insights.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging methodologies like Six Sigma, SPC, and FMEA while addressing customer feedback and concerns.

Role requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Extensive background in quality management within electronics manufacturing services, particularly in high-tech capital equipment assembly.
Strong expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes, industry standards, and quality methodologies.
Certifications: Six Sigma, ASQ, or equivalent quality management certifications are a plus.
Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and make data-driven decisions.
