Head of Financial Control (Financial Services – ED Level)

We are currently partnering with a leading financial services firm who offer financing solutions for global infrastructure projects

They are looking for a seasoned finance leader to head the Financial Control function. This role oversees all financial reporting and tax matters, and key responsibilities include group consolidation, preparation of audited financial statements, managing internal and external audits, and providing technical accounting advisory across the group. Additionally, the role includes team leadership responsibilities, managing both onshore and offshore teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain full set of accounts and ensure accuracy of financials in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Prepare and deliver timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) for senior management, Board, and shareholders.
  • Oversee the cost allocation process in line with transfer pricing regulations.
  • Lead the preparation of annual audited financial statements and manage internal and external audit processes.
  • Manage all tax matters across the Group, including corporate tax, transfer pricing, and withholding tax, while maintaining an efficient tax structure.
  • Oversee timely and accurate completion of transfer pricing documentation in coordination with tax agents.
  • Responsible for group consolidation, ensuring accurate and compliant consolidated financial statements and providing expertise in securitisation accounting.
  • Provide technical accounting advisory support, including IFRS and SFRS guidance, and contribute to strategic finance projects.

Role requirements

  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent with a degree in Accountancy and over 20 years of experience in financial reporting.
  • Deep expertise in Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), group consolidation, corporate tax, and accounting principles.
  • Experience working in Financial, particularly with knowledge in financial products and securitisation accounting, including related tax schemes.
  • Familiarity with service company operations, cost allocation, and transfer pricing is a strong advantage.
