Country Senior HR Manager

Our client is a well‑established global organisation with a strong footprint in the manufacturing industry. With a significant presence across the globe and a commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and people development, the company is seeking a seasoned HR leader to head the Human Resources function for its Malaysia operations. The role is based in Selangor and will oversee both strategic and operational HR for a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the day‑to‑day HR operations for Malaysia while simultaneously driving the country’s HR strategy
  • Act as strategic advisor to Business Leaders around the People Agenda, including talent management and development, performance management, total rewards and employee relations to support organizational growth
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives to build a positive and high performing culture
  • Develop and implement people analytics strategies to drive data-informed decision-making
  • Work closely with the broader HR team to drive continuous process improvement and HR projects to achieve operational effectiveness

Role requirements

  • Degree qualified with at least 15 years across the full spectrum of HR, with strengths in Business Partnering
  • Solid understanding of local labour laws and legislations in Manufacturing industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, effectively translating complex data into actionable insights to inform strategic decisions and drive organizational success
