Head of Transfer Pricing

Our client is a leading international trading group with significant growth plans ahead. To support this, they are creating a new role of Head of Transfer Pricing within their global tax team in Singapore.

This is a senior, high-visibility position with full ownership of the group’s transfer pricing strategy across its global trading, logistics and asset footprint. You’ll work closely with senior tax, finance and business leadership, and play a central role in shaping how the group’s TP framework evolves alongside its expansion.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and lead the group’s global transfer pricing strategy, policies and operating model
  • Design and implement TP frameworks for trading, shipping/logistics, financing and asset-holding activities
  • Oversee TP documentation, including master file, local files and country-by-country reporting
  • Lead tax authority audits, disputes and advance pricing agreement (APA) negotiations where relevant
  • Advise the business on the TP implications of new structures, acquisitions, investments and supply chain changes
  • Monitor and assess the impact of global developments, including OECD BEPS and Pillar Two
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure intercompany pricing is applied correctly and consistently
  • Manage external advisors and, over time, build out a transfer pricing capability within the team

Role requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with relevant professional qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, ATP) preferred
  • Minimum 12 years of transfer pricing experience, gained in Big 4/advisory, in-house, or a combination of both
  • Strong exposure to commodities, trading, shipping or logistics businesses is highly advantageous
  • Deep technical knowledge of OECD guidelines and international tax principles
  • Proven track record managing tax audits, disputes and complex cross-border structures
  • Ability to translate technical TP matters into clear, commercial advice for senior stakeholders
  • Confidence operating independently in a high-visibility, growing environment
