Key responsibilities

Serve as the primary legal contact for the institution.
Draft, review, and finalize contracts with third parties.
Lead contract negotiations in alignment with risk frameworks.
Handle litigation and investigations as required.
Ensure compliance with global legal policies and regulatory standards.
Manage relationships with local management, external advisors, and global legal teams.
Lead a legal team, providing mentorship and ensuring cross-functional collaboration.

Role requirements

Minimum of 15 years of professional legal experience, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
Strong knowledge of Indian and international legal and regulatory environments.
Experience negotiating complex contracts and managing litigation.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders globally.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
