M&A Lawyer – 6 months maternity cover (perm potential)

Our client is a reputable Asian (non-PRC) Financial Institution. This role focuses on cross-border M&A transactions and will cover a maternity leave for six months, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support on cross-border M&A transactions, as well as general corporate commercial agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management and compliance teams, to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and risk management.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and market practices affecting cross-border activities.
  • Work with external counsels as required.

Role requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 PQE preferably in the corporate practice
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills in cross-border transactions
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
