Our client is a leading bank seeking a high-caliber professional to join their Equities Middle Office as an AVP, focusing on the APAC Equity Derivatives Business. This role focuses on the intricate details of Trade Validation & Review, Lifecycle & Clearing events, and comprehensive support for Trading & Sales desks as well as clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Trade Support: Ensure high-quality transactional data related to derivatives and structured trading activities. Perform independent validation of complex trades post-capture.
  • Lifecycle Management: Monitor and manage trade exceptions, lifecycle events, and clearing processes.
  • Batch Support: Oversee Start-of-Day (SOD) and End-of-Day (EOD) batches to ensure accurate Profit & Loss and Risk Analysis.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with global teams to drive automation and strategic changes, enhancing operational efficiency and capacity.
  • Team Management: Provide feedback and training to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Role requirements

  • Experience: 7-9 years in trade support, middle-office, or operations roles within financial services.
  • Education: Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business or Finance.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of end-to-end processes in structured derivatives trading, including control points.
  • Pricing & Risk Management: Solid knowledge of fundamental derivatives pricing and risk management principles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Co-pilot, Alteryx), along with programming skills in Python and Macro VBA.
