Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily trade booking, position and P&L reconciliations, settlement issues, and corporate action events.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of trades, positions, cash balances, costs, and P&L attribution.
  • Manage all operational aspects across the trade lifecycle, from execution through settlement.
  • Liaise with counterparties, custodians, and prime brokers to onboard new business and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Design and implement automated solutions using VBA, SQL, and Python to streamline workflows and apply data management best practices.
  • Document processes, enhancements, and solutions to ensure effective knowledge transfer and team alignment.

Role requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of mid-office or operations experience, preferably within a buy-side environment (hedge funds, proprietary trading) or prime brokerage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong product knowledge across listed equities, ETFs, derivatives, and FX.
  • Familiarity with Asian securities markets and relevant regulatory frameworks is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, with hands-on experience using VBA, SQL, and Python.
  • Proven experience driving process improvements and designing automated solutions, ideally in a trading environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, assertive, and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
