Our client is a leading global financial services organisation seeking a senior Procurement Operations Leader to build and lead its global Procurement Operations capability from India.
The role will drive a major procurement transformation, with responsibility across P2P governance, commercial data and intelligence, TPRM, vendor onboarding, procurement MI and eSourcing. The successful candidate will build the team, strengthen operational controls and introduce data, automation and AI-enabled improvements.

Key responsibilities
Procurement Operations
- Build and lead the global Procurement Operations function across P2P, Data & Reporting, Tooling and Risk & Controls.
- Establish operating processes, governance and KPIs to improve quality, compliance and efficiency.
Commercial Data & Intelligence
- Build and maintain commercial datasets covering rate cards, RFP pricing, vendor terms and SaaS costs.
- Develop benchmarking and reporting to support sourcing and negotiation decisions.
- Leverage AI and automation to identify trends, anomalies and commercial insights.
P2P & TPRM
- Oversee P2P governance, PR approvals, exceptions and process compliance.
- Manage vendor onboarding and key third-party risk compliance checkpoints.
- Partner with Finance, Risk and Technology teams to strengthen controls and processes.
MI & eSourcing
- Own procurement MI across spend, savings, compliance and operational performance.
- Manage the eSourcing platform and drive consistent adoption across sourcing teams.
- Ensure procurement data is accurate, standardized and commercially useful.
People & Stakeholder Leadership
- Build and develop the Procurement Operations team.
- Work closely with senior Procurement, Finance, Risk, Legal and business stakeholders globally.
Role requirements
- Experience: 17+ years in procurement operations, shared services or a similar leadership role.
- Strong experience managing P2P processes within a complex, matrixed organisation.
- Experience owning procurement MI, reporting and structured commercial/operational datasets.
- Experience with third-party risk, supplier onboarding and procurement compliance.
- Proven experience building and leading teams.
- Experience in a transformation or build environment.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Familiarity with eSourcing platforms preferred.
- Experience in financial services, insurance or another regulated environment preferred.
- Exposure to AI, RPA or workflow automation is advantageous.
- Graduation in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Management or a related discipline is required.
- MBA, procurement qualifications or certifications such as CIPS, CPSM or CSCP would be an advantage.
