Regional Key Account Manager (Data Centre)

Our client, a global leader in infrastructure solutions, is seeking a highly driven Regional Key Account Manager to take ownership of strategic customer relationships across Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on the data centre sector.

This role will be responsible for leading and executing regional sales strategies to grow and develop key accounts, driving cross-selling initiatives across multiple product portfolios. The successful candidate will need to work collaboratively with in-country teams to ensure seamless execution, build long-term partnerships, and deliver scalable solutions tailored to client needs.

Key responsibilities

Account Development & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for major regional accounts within the data centre ecosystem.
  • Develop customised growth strategies for new and existing accounts, aligned with both customer needs and business objectives.
  • Foster senior-level relationships across client organisations to strengthen account positioning and engagement.
  • Drive cross-selling of a broad infrastructure portfolio into assigned accounts, ensuring value creation and relevance.
  • Support client success through proactive service and by managing any issues or escalations effectively.
  • Serve as the liaison between regional and global key account teams to ensure consistent client engagement across geographies.

 

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Contribute to regional go-to-market strategies and align account plans with broader business goals and market dynamics.
  • Lead consultative selling initiatives, ensuring an in-depth understanding of customer challenges in the data centre space.
  • Identify upsell and whitespace opportunities to maximise account penetration.
  • Manage contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring alignment with client needs and company objectives.
  • Track key metrics, maintain pipeline accuracy, and provide real-time updates through CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

 

Collaboration & Cross-functional Leadership

  • Coordinate with internal teams across functions — including project management, operations, customer service, and technical support — to deliver end-to-end client solutions.
  • Align closely with local and regional sales teams to support on-the-ground execution in each Southeast Asian market.
  • Share customer feedback with internal product teams to influence roadmap development and service improvements.

Role requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally with 5+ years focused on the data centre industry.
  • A strong understanding of infrastructure or electrical systems and the ability to navigate technical sales environments.
  • Prior success managing large regional accounts and coordinating with global stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business (Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • Fluent in English; additional Southeast Asian languages are a plus.
  • Must be open to regional travel.
