Oversee the credit approval and review processes for loans that are issued to corporates, ensuring they meet the bank’s risk management standards and compliance requirements.
Monitor the performance and quality of the credit portfolio.
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations.
Perform additional tasks assigned by the branch manager or HQ, which may include special projects or initiatives to support the branch’s overall objectives.
Mentor/provide on the job training to junior credit approvers/analysts.
Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in credit risk evaluation, portfolio monitoring, corporate/institutional/commercial lending, or a related field.
Strong understanding of financial modelling, analytical skills, credit principles and banking practices, regulatory requirements, rating mechanisms, and risk management.
Excellent analytical skills, including evaluating financial statements and credit reports.
Able to provide thoughtful and balanced risk perspectives to business lines.
Good communication and organization skills.
Proficiency in MS office application.
Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese to enable effective communication with head office colleagues based in North Asia.
