VP, Financial & Regulatory Reporting

We are hiring for a leading global financial services client seeking an experienced Vice President, Financial & Regulatory Reporting to join its Finance team in Hong Kong. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing financial and regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with both local and global reporting requirements, and driving finance transformation and governance initiatives across the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Manage SFC Financial Resources Rules (FRR) regulatory reporting.
  • Assess and implement new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide accounting and regulatory guidance on new products and business initiatives.
  • Lead consolidations, reporting controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Drive process enhancements, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Manage local and offshore finance teams.
  • Support budgeting, audits, and regional finance projects.

Role requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience within banking or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and financial consolidations.
  • Experience with Hong Kong SFC FRR reporting preferred.
  • Prior Big Four experience is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
