Our client is a reputed global bank and is looking for a seasoned Product Controller to join their team in HK. This is a key role within the team with face off to Senior trading desk heads and other stakeholders for the Credit desk

Key responsibilities

Producing and reviewing daily P&L and P&L explanations for the internal stakeholders.
Working closely with Trading team and other Finance and Middle Office functions (Accounting, Valuations, Risk & Operations, Treasury teams) to resolve booking, P&L distribution, accounting and valuations queries.
Performing regular portfolio analysis to ensure the valuations are appropriate.
Undertaking month-end procedures, including Balance Sheet substantiation.
Managing relationships with both onshore and offshore teams to enhance resource efficiency and distribution of workload.
Supervising various month-end tasks, including the validation of the Balance Sheet.

Role requirements

Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CFA, etc.) coupled with excellent technical accounting skills.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Control in Investment Banking with the ability to lead a small team
Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
Experience in Structured Products, esp structured credit is highly preferred.
Professional integrity and self-sufficiency.
Strong interpersonal skills and competence in dealing with senior stakeholders.
