VP / ED level – Business Manager – Financial Markets

We are currently partnering with a leading international financial services firm who have a growing presence in Asia, focused predominantly on Financial Markets activities across a range of products.

They are looking to hire a Business Manager for the APAC region, a role which will act as a key leadership partner to the COO, driving operational excellence and regional growth – and are open to consider candidates at both VP and ED (and equivalent) levels.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with the COO to translate high-level regional strategy into actionable plans, defined milestones, and measurable outcomes to drive sustainable growth.
  • Act as the central integration point across front office, operations, finance, risk, and technology to remove growth barriers and streamline business initiatives.
  • Design and maintain robust dashboards to track key performance indicators, proactively identifying execution risks and implementing effective solutions.
  • Lead complex change initiatives and embed scalable operating models that improve regional efficiency while supporting new business activity and market entry.
  • Build and manage relationships across global and regional teams, delegating effectively to influence outcomes and promote a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee regulatory, legal entity, and control initiatives – and ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements and operational risk framework

Role requirements

  • 10+ years of Business Management, COO, or Transformation / Strategy roles within Financial Services, ideally Financial Markets focused
  • Proven track record of successfully driving large-scale, cross-functional change initiatives within highly regulated environments.
  • Ability to partner with and influence senior executives and cross-functional teams.
